Be the Change!

Last week I showed my class the Ashton & Demi video asking Americans, "What's your pledge?" We watched it a couple of times and then watched it again today. We talked about what kinds of things we could pledge. What things could we do in our own little part of the country to make America better? Here are some of their pledges:

I pledge to....
..... plant another tree in our back yard.
..... help our community more and not get angry.
..... convince my dad to buy a trailer so that when we travel we don't use so much gas.
..... walk somewhere instead of asking my mom to drive me.
..... turn off lights in rooms I'm not in and not use so much water.
..... give my old stuff and clothes to tent city so that they can be warm.
..... be more patient with my little brother.
..... smile more.
..... take shorter showers.
..... recycle more of my papers.
..... stop littering.
..... be a good friend.
..... say hi.
..... take responsibility in my actions.
..... respect my parents by not talking back.
..... donate and give to Children's Hospital.
..... tell people about food waste going in the yard waste bin.
..... not use as many plastic bottles.

So, we in room C-204 challenge you.....
What is YOUR pledge?!
