Sunday evening. Sigh. (a good sigh!)

Right now I should be reading my math curriculum and my Reader's Workshop teacher's manual, but alas... I'm easily distracted. So, instead I blog.

Last Monday the snow kept falling and falling... took an hour and three minutes to get from my school to downtown Bothell = ridiculous. Got the phone call just after 9:00 that school was canceled for Tuesday = pure delight!

Tuesday, after a morning of coffee and the newspaper, was lovely. James and I had prawns and chowder at a little waterfront cafe in Kirkland. Then we walked through downtown Kirkland, stopping in a couple of stores along the way. A quick run into Starbucks for a salted caramel hot chocolate (delish!), and we continued on our walk.

Last stop before heading home was at Brix for a glass of wine. It was there where I received a text from my sister announcing school was canceled for Wednesday as well. Joy! A four-day Thanksgiving weekend had suddenly become a six-day break (days to be made up later.)

The next days were spent reading, watching hockey, going to a movie, watching tv, Thanksgiving with friends, watching college football, visiting at my sister's house, going to church, watching more football and hockey, listening to Christmas music (and singing, too!), and putting up a Christmas tree (not done yet...).

Perfectly perfect.

Tomorrow it's back to work.

Three weeks until Christmas break. Ho-ho-ho...
