A glimpse of a classroom....

Yesterday I gave a Friday test in school. I gave instructions for the kids to turn their test in to their number (each of them have a box) when finished. I repeated it two times.

A boy comes up, holds his test out and says, "Here."
My reply, "Turn that in to your number." And then to the class, "When you finish, your test goes to your number."
Another boy comes up, "Where do I turn this in?"
Me again, "To your number." And another reminder to the whole class.
As I'm answering an email, a third boy comes up, "Ms. Miller, do I turn this in to my number?"
Me, giving up now, "Yes."

Seriously, a girl walks toward me, she's about seven feet from me, I look up and say, "To your number." She turns and walks away.

What the??? What I want to do is freak out and share my opinion with the class...... this time, however, I choose to say, "La la" and carry on with my day.

Honestly. I need a wood post in my room to bang my head against!
