Veteran's Day

I realize I'm a few days early, but still.....

Today we had our Veteran's Day assembly at school. Our music teacher is awesome. Seriously. She leads a choir of 4th-6th graders and does such an excellent job. It's impressive. Today the kids sang three songs with multiple parts. Just seeing them in their red, white, and blue t-shirts and listening to their sweet, pure voices brought tears to my eyes and made my hair stand on end. It truly was beautiful.

Then about six students went to the mike and shared their thanks and appreciation for the men and women of our country who serve or have served in the military. Again, I was moved.

If you haven't been to an elementary school and heard children sing and speak, you are definitely missing out on one of life's treasures.

How blessed am I to have heard them.
